Tybee Beach - Day 3

The rain finally cleared, and we got to enjoy the island on Friday.  We started at the Breakfast Club for breakfast. This tiny diner required everyone to line up outside, and when they were ready for you, they'd come out to get you. Mom had the pecan waffles, Mary had French toast, and I had an egg scramble with bacon, onions, and green peppers. Yum!

After a little beach-side shopping, we walked out on the pier.

Our hotel from the pier.

Next, we headed to the north side of the island to visit some boutique shops and the Tybee lighthouse.

By now, it had warmed up enough to walk the beach before getting ready for family photos. Mary and mom collected shells along the shore, and we waded in. The water was still less than 60°, so ankles only!

Because of the rain the day before, our family photo shoot had to be rescheduled for this afternoon, so after playing in the water a bit, we headed in to get ready. We found Shawn Morgan Photography, based in Savannh, via Groupon about two months before our trip and scheduled a one-hour session. Shawn was great to work with, especially with the unpredictable weather. We can't wait to see the shots!

On the way to meet Shawn, we couldn't resist a selfie in front of the Bright St. sign!

After photos, we headed back to Savannah for dinner and a walking ghost tour. Dinner was at a great Mexican restaurant called Tequila's Town Mexican. I had the Arroz Texano Bowl, which was amazing, and you can't beat $4 margaritas!

We ended the evening with a walking ghost tour, which was also a Groupon find. It was, in reality, more of a history tour, but we learned about some of the local hauntings that have been reported. It was a fun way to end the evening.
