Rain, Rain Go Away - Day 2

Due to rain today, we decided a beach day wasn't in the cards, so we headed to Savannah. We started out at Lady and Sons, Paula Deen's restaurant. We had fried chicken, pulled pork, cheesy meat loaf, green beans, mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese plus some warn peach cobbler. Obviously, we left stuffed!

After lunch, we walked down to River Street to browse the shops. A favorite was River Street Sweets with praline samples. Yum! 

Next up was Chippewa Square, where Forest Gump's bench scenes were filmed. The bench is now in a museum.

Finally, we stopped by the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. We just missed getting to go inside :(

Back on Tybee Island, we could see people looking for shells on the beach from our room window.  We decided to run out there, too. It was still rainy and cold, and we got soaked, but we enjoyed it!
